Familiens Sorte Faar is hitting the limelight again with the EP “Metadonkysten”. The band is composed of Vidar Monsen Thune (22) on acoustic guitar and Martin Mentzoni (20) on vocals. The duo started playing together a late winter night in 2004. They combine beautiful melodious tones with hauntingly melancholic lyrics. They charter the unexplored area between singer/songwriter and raw rock.

Vidar and Martin both hail from other bands, respectively: Shit Like This and Bikkjå. The duo combined forces on this project to elevate their music to an acoustic level without loosing touch with their roots in the harder rock.

Familiens Sorte Faar has played a number of gigs: Ugå 2005, Twice at Rockfest, twice at Torvestad and once Amy’s. They are looking forward to February 3^rd 2006, when they will play together with Nord Rogaland Symfoni Orkester. They are also planning a tour of Norway’s West Coast this year.

“Metadonkysten” was recorded in 1Studio and contains 4 tracks. Despite the Norwegian name all tracks are in English. This is the duo’s second EP.
